Nice to meet you. If you’re here, I assume you’ve come across a bit of sapphic word fun that has my name on it. Or, maybe that’s what you’re searching for and it brought you here. However that may be, welcome.

This fledgling site is the baby sister to that of Brey Willows, my primary pen name. Under that one, I write speculative fiction. That’s just a lazy, catch-all term for fantasy, sci-fi, paranormal, dystopian, etc. I suppose because you’re speculating on what a different world would look like? I’m not smart enough to know. But that’s what you’ll find under Brey Willows.

Here, under Ally McGuire, you’ll find all the emotional threads I like to pull on. Sapphic fiction featuring strong characters who are flawed and finding their way is my road of travel, and I hope you’ll travel along with me as we go.

I have social media accounts here, there, and everywhere, and I often forget which one I’m on and post stuff from my other personas. Nothing diabolical there, just a lack of attention and making use of whatever it is social media is there for. It’s all about the art of connection, right? Relationships in whatever form, from romantic to shouting into the void to hear a couple echoes sent back, is about connection. I like exploring them in all their messy vastness.
